When users initially enter a new project, one Indicator for each Outcome is automatically added in the Indicator tab with the text "New Item". Users may edit the text cell to reflect anticipated project Indicators.

 

To add additional Indicators:

Navigate to the Outcome the new Indicator will measure or to a "sibling" Indicator under that Outcome.

Click the gear symbol drop-down menu on the far right of the row

Select Add Indicator

The new Indicator will be added under the selected Outcome. Select the Indicator type, enter the Indicator text in the text cell, and enter any data collection information available.

Users can select the Indicator type for each indicator.

Type types of indicators are:

oNumeric indicator with baseline - this is the default type, and includes a space for a baseline quantity and a quantity with each reporting period. Text can also be entered about data collection and for each progress note.

oNumeric indicator no baseline - the indicator has no baseline, but indicator progress notes still have quantities. Text can also be entered about data collection and for each progress note.

oNon-numeric indicator - the indicator does not have a number because it is qualitative. This type of indicator has no baseline quantity, although baseline text can be entered in the data collection space, and indicator progress notes have no quantities, only space for narrative text reporting

 

To delete an Indicator, click on Delete button in the row of the Indicator to be deleted.

Each Report Period requires Indicator Progress reporting. See Output Progress Note; Indicator Progress Notes work the same way as Output Progress notes except they offer a Not Applicable option.

 

For each reporting period, enter the reported quantity (in numerical value) for numeric indicators, or text for non-numeric indicators, OR check Not Applicable if there was no measurement reported. You may also enter additional text for a progress entry, if desired.

 

Note that the Report Period must fall within the project's start/end dates, with a year leeway on both sides.
